Ajuga x tenorii 'Chocolate Chip'

Bugleweed

Ajuga is one of the best known and most useful groundcovers, suiting many different situations and color schemes.  Plants spread by runners and soon create a thick groundcover carpet of foliage.  ‘Chocolate Chip’ has narrow, chocolate colored leaves that are green all year.  This more dwarf form of Ajuga has blue flowers in mid-late spring.  Also works well in fairy gardens or among stepping stones.
