Hybrid Tea roses should be pruned to 18″ tall for the winter sometime in December. By reducing the length of the canes helps to prevent possible ice damage.
Mulch Hybrid Tea roses heavily before Christmas. In especially cold or exposed areas, mounds of mulch up to 12″ deep may be necessary to protect the graft during cold winters.
Evergreens can be pruned now. Use the cut greens in holiday decorating.
