Butterfly Weed, Butterfly Milkweed

Vibrant orange flowers attract Monarch butterflies and hummingbirds throughout the summer.  Narrow leaves produce a milky sap when broken.  Native to Missouri; adapts to poor soils but is best in meadows or natural areas.  Plant with other pollinator attracting plants.
