Broccoli
Broccoli grows best in cooler temperatures, along with other cole crops.
The varieties we grow are:
- Artwork – A stem broccoli that can be eaten whole; pinch the main head when it is 1-1 1/2 inches to produce tender side shoots. 106 days to maturity.
- Marathon – Uniform, blue-green heads are great for fresh eating. 97 days to maturity.
Plants are available for purchase at Longfellow’s:
March 1 – April 15 for spring crops
August 1 – August 31 for fall crops
