Magnolia
Reddish purple flowers are white on the inside and appear before the foliage on this deciduous tree. The foliage is dark green and glossy. Best sited in a location protected from high winds and away from a southern exposure, which may cause buds to open too early. Flowers may sporadically repeat bloom in mid-summer.
