Fothergilla major 'Mt. Airy'

Mount Airy Fothergilla

Mount Airy is noted for its consistent fall color ranging from yellow through orange and red.  It blooms heavily with white, fragrant flower spikes in April to early May before leaves appear.  Blooms last 3 to 4 weeks.  Summer foliage is dark blue-green above, whitish beneath, and has great fall color.  Excellant for borders, commercial foundations and mass plantings.
