Weed Control
Lawn Care: Weeds can still be controlled. Henbit, chickweed, and other broadleaf weeds start to grow this time of year. If they haven’t started growing, a weed preventer like Barricade can still be applied. However if these winter weeds have started to grow, apply Fertilome Weed-Out. It comes in granular and liquid forms, depending upon how you like to apply an herbicide.
Boring Insects
Boring insects wreak havoc on many types of trees, causing unnecessary damage or early death. Prevention is key….and so easy!
Tree and Shrub Insect Drench is the miracle drug for preventing borers. It is best applied in September, though it can be used any time from March to September.
So easily applied, it is literally poured around the base of the tree. Be sure to follow directions to get the right amount of the chemical.
